I hereby confirm that the next meeting of INBO Liaison Bureau will
take place, at the invitation of the Algerian Authorities and River Basin
Agencies, from 12 to 14 December 2003 in TIPAZA (Algeria).
As usual, you will find all the working documents for this meeting
on the website: www.inbo-news.org, at the " Liaison Bureau "
section.
As regards the program, the main issue will obviously concerns
the organization of the next World General Assembly of INBO, whose dates
are now definitively set from Saturday 24, in the evening, to Wednesday
28 January 2004 in the morning.
The other issues could also be:
n The achievement of the objectives of
the Johannesburg World Summit:
è The European Water Initiative,
è The Canadian Initiative, etc.
n The INBO/GWP Associated Program,
n The TWIN-BASINS, IWRM-Net, and AWIS
projects,
n The progress reports of the Regional
networks - Africa, Latin-America, Europe, the Mediterranean,
n The installation of INBO Committee of
Experts (Montreal, Quebec / IJC / Hydro-Quebec, Government of Quebec,
etc.),
n The events involving INBO in 2004,
n The accountancy organization of the
Network: operating accounts for 2003, financial auditor, budget estimate
for 2004, the mandate of the Permanent Technical Secretariat and IOWater/INBO
agreement,
n The communication strategy of the Network:
website, the electronic newsletter E-INBO, the Network Newsletter,
etc,
n Various issues.
In order to facilitate the organization of the meeting, would you
kindly return to me the enclosed registration form, at your earliest convenience,
specifying your day and hour of arrival and departure at Algiers International
Airport. I would advise you to arrive on Thursday 11 and leave on Monday
15 December.
Please be reminded that the nationals of several countries need an
entry visa for Algeria that should be obtained well in advance.
