I hereby confirm that the next meeting of the World Liaison Bureau of the International Network of Basin Organizations, chaired by Mr. LASZLO KOTHAY, World President of INBO, will take place the day before our « EUROPE – INBO 2007 conference:

The agenda of this Bureau meeting will deal with:

• The positive results of the World General Assembly of INBO, on 7 and 8 June 2007 in Debrecen,
• The admission of INBO to the special statute of consultative organization by the United Nations Economic and Social Council,
• The designation of the host Country for the next « EUROPE – INBO » conference in 2008,
• The report on the Coordination Committee meeting of the African Network of Basin Organizations (ANBO), which just took place in DAKAR,
•  The other events associating INBO in 2007 and 2008:
  • Conference of SOREL in Quebec, organized by COVABAR,
  • INBO session during the International Yellow River Forum in Dongying in China,
  • New events planned in 2008, etc.
• Preparation of the 5th World Water Forum of ISTANBUL, March 2009,
• ¢     The relations of INBO with GWP – project for a joint publication on IWRM at the level of river basins,
• The activities of the Regional Networks: Africa, Latin America, Europe, the Mediterranean, relations with NARBO in Asia,
• The project for creating a new Network of Russian-Speaking Basin Organizations  and of a North-American Network of Basin Organizations (ROBAN),
• Miscellaneous issues:
  • the next « INBO Newsletter 2007 – 2008 »,
  • the development of the website : www.inbo-news.org,
  • the PTS budget estimate for 2008.

  As usual, you will find all the working papers for this meeting on the www.inbo-news.org website, in the section « ROME Liaison Bureau ».
