This meeting of INBO World Liaison Bureau is held on the occasion of the next international meeting of « EURO-INBO 2005 », organized by the « Group ofEuropean Basin Organizations for the Implementation of the Water Framework Directive », to which you are all obviously invited, on 29, 30 September and 1 st October 2005.

The strategic topics of the agenda will deal with:

• INBO active participation in the 4 th World Water Forum of Mexico, from 16 to 22 March 2006,
  • organization of the partnership, selection of field case studies,
  • preparation of the 2 sessions on IWRM in basins, which we have officially proposed to organize,
  • process for the regional mobilization of basin organizations.
    
    
• The«  EURO-INBO » Group for the implementation of the European Water Framework Directive:
• dissemination of the WFD principles in third countries,
• accepted participation of « EURO-INBO » in the « Strategic Coordination Group » of the European Commission,
• development of an information website on the WFD implementation in basins/districts, «  europe-wfd. inbo-news.org » ;

• The other events associating INBO at the end of 2005 : Extraordinary Assembly of ANBO, the « Water – Europe » week of Strasbourg, the regional meeting in Latin America, NARBO, etc.

• World General Assembly of INBO in HUNGARY at the beginning of 2007.
  
  
• Achievement of the objectives of the Johannesburg World Summit:
  • The European Water Initiative (EUWI) in Africa, Latin America, Eastern and Mediterranean Europe,
  • IWRM in transboundary basins, GEF, FFEM, IW/LEARN.
    
    
• INBO/GWP Associated Program:
  • Progress made in the « TWINBASINS » project ,
  • « IWRM-NET », « WFD-LEARN »,
  •  SADIEau-AWIS,
    
    
• Projects presented for financing to the European Water Facility,

• Activities of the Regional Networks : Africa, Latin America, Europe, the Mediterranean, relations with NARBO in Asia,
  
• Miscellaneous issues : reminder of a request for articles for the next « INBO Newsletter », etc.

As usual, you will find all the working papers for this meeting on the www.inbo-news.org website, in the section « Namur Liaison Bureau ».

For the good organization of the meeting, I remind to those among you who would not have already done it yet, that it is now essential to send me back theappended registration form, while specifying your days and hours of arrival to and departure from Namur railway station.

I remind you that the nationals of several countries will need an entry visa to Europe (« Schengen Area »), which must be obtained before your departure from your country.
