As agreed to during our last INBO General Assembly, held in the Martinique in January 2004, I hereby confirm that the next meeting of the INTERNATIONAL LIAISON BUREAU will take place, under the chairmanship of Mrs. Madeleine JOYE de GRANDMAISON:

IN DAKAR – SENEGAL

The agenda of the meeting will deal with the following points:

• The outcome of the " EURO INBO " group meeting of September 2004 in Krakow,

• The preliminary examination of the drafts of the " Declaration of DAKAR " and of the resolutions on transboundary basins,

• The " IWRM and transboundary river components of the European Water Initiative " (Africa, Latin America, Eastern Europe and the Caucasus, the Mediterranean),

• The planned activities and budgets of INBO for 2005,

• The strategy for international communication of the Network,

• A progress report on the international projects in which INBO participates (TWINBASIN, WFD-ERANet, IWRM-LEARN, etc.) and on the INBO/GWP Associated Program

• The activities of the Regional Networks for Africa (ANBO), Latin America (LANBO), Asia (NARBO), Central and Eastern Europe (CEENBO), the Mediterranean (MENBO),

• Preparation of IVth WWF in Mexico City in March 2006.

• The next World General Assembly of INBO in Hungary in Autumn 2006.

Of course, all the members of INBO International Liaison Bureau are invited to actively participate in the International Conference organized by ANBO and the Network of International Commissions and Transboundary Basin Organizations, which will held in the same place in DAKAR from 3 to 6 November 2004.

The presence of the President of the Republic of Senegal gives a very particular significance to this meeting.
