Dear Friends,

As agreed during our last INBO General Assembly held in the Martinique in January 2004, I hereby confirm that the next meeting of the INTERNATIONAL LIAISON BUREAU will take place :

on Sunday 26 September 2004

from 16 : 30 to 19 : 00

at the NOVOTEL BRONOWICE – KRAKOW (POLAND)

The meeting will be immediately followed by an official dinner offered to the Bureau Members by Mr. Jerzy SWATON, Polish Minister for the Environment.

The program of the meeting will deal with:

• An analysis of the 2004 General Assembly in the Martinique,

• The components " IWRM and transboundary rivers of the European Water Initiative " (Africa, Latin America, Eastern Europe and Caucasus, the Mediterranean),

• The preparation of the first General Assembly of the " Network of International Commissions and Transboundary Basin Organizations " that will take place in DAKAR / ST LOUIS in Senegal from 1 to 5 November 2004,

• Progress made in the international projects in which INBO participate (TWINBASIN, WFD-ERANet, IWRM-LEARN, etc.…) and in the INBO/GWP Associated Program,

• Activities of the Regional Networks for Africa (ANBO), Latin America (LANBO), Asia (NARBO), Central and Eastern Europe (CEENBO), the Mediterranean (MENBO),

• The objectives of the Network for 2005, especially the preparation of the 4th WWF of Mexico.

The presence of the Polish Minister for the Environment at the dinner gives special significance to this meeting.

Of course, all the Members of INBO International Liaison Bureau are invited to actively participate in the International Conference organized by the " Group of European Basin Organizations for the implementation of the Framework Directive " that will be held on Monday 27, Tuesday 28 and Wednesday 29 September 2004 at the same place in Krakow.
