Our Chinese colleagues of the « Yellow River Conservation Commission » are inviting us to organize, on next 18 October in the morning, 8:30 to 12:30, a special session on water resources management in Europe and particularly on the implementation of the Framework Directive, during the next « International Yellow River Forum », which will be held:

IN DONGYING – CHINA

We invite you to participate in this important international event to which more than 300 foreign participants from 50 Countries are already registered.

You will find any information on the IYRF on the website http://forum.yellowriver.cn/Eindex.htm, as well as the forms necessary for your registration. For any information on the Forum you can also contact the YRCC at the following address: iyrf[@]yellowriver.gov.cn .

Of course, our special « European » session will be organized around the main current topics on the Framework Directive implementation in 2007 in the European river basin districts and on the processes, tools and techniques for water resources management used in Europe.

There will be simultaneous translation into English and Chinese.

You are invited to present a paper on your experience: the title and summary should reach us before next 1st September and the complete text on 15 September at the latest, at the address: inbo[@]wanadoo.fr .

INBO objective is to allow the European Basin Organizations and the companies and consulting firms which work with them, coming from the Member and candidate countries of the European Union and all the other countries of the Balkans, Eastern Europe, Caucasus and Central Asia, of the whole Mediterranean basin, in particular, to informally meet their Chinese colleagues and those from other countries represented in Dongying, to exchange their practical field experiences and techniques.

In order to facilitate the good organization of the meeting and your best welcoming in Dongying, we thank you in advance for kindly sending, at your earliest convenience, to our Chinese friends (iyrf[@]yellowriver.gov.cn), the registration form to be downloaded from the Forum website and for retuning to INBO Permanent Technical Secretariat (inbo[@]wanadoo.fr) the appended participation form for the special « European » session.

Our Chinese colleagues advise you to arrive on 15 October 2007 at  Dongying airport. If your agenda allows it, you could leave Dongying on Saturday 20 or Sunday 21 October.

Your hotel booking at group discount price can be made for you by our Chinese hosts.

We cannot take charge of your air travels and hotel accommodation in Dongying.
